Overview
Due to the success of the Department of Education’s (DoE) Green Team parallel curriculum program, Ivory Media was engaged to create a case study video that would help the DoE to showcase the program’s success and to encourage other NSW schools to implement a parallel curriculum framework of their own.
Approach
We set about designing a script and storyboard that would convey the transformative nature of the Green Team project, highlighting the issues underpinning the program’s development, and using the program’s participants to talk us through their journeys and how their lives have been changed.
We deployed a small crew to ensure minimal disruption to the school’s students and staff, dividing them across interviews and B-roll sequences to maximise our allocated time. With the use of portable, lightweight lighting we were able to ensure swift transitions across the location.
We gave the program’s head teacher Craig a leading voice to describe the process of delivering the program, with a view to allaying any concerns that other schools may have about the program’s implementation.
Outcome
The 180-second video case study was delivered on-time and on-budget, with the client absolutely thrilled and giving unanimous approval at their first viewing. Two short-form social media videos were also created and we supplied 100 still images to support the campaign.
The video was launched at National Skills Week on August 19th 2024 and then shared with schools across NSW to encourage the implementation of a parallel curriculum program in their school.
